SHERIDAN — The Sheridan City Council will discuss an application for the Veterans and War Memorial Grant from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department it plans to submit when it meets at 7 this evening at city hall.
City Manager Frank Sheridan has suggested the council discuss the timeline for the project, how much money is available related to a local commitment and should the park be named. If so, for whom, and should this be done prior to the Friday, Nov. 8 deadline for submission of the grant application?
The memorial, if constructed, would be placed in the 500 block of West Main Street. There is about 3,500 square feet of space available for construuction.
Documents related to agenda items are available to the public at all regular meetings and work sessions.
