This is a good story. I have been involved in the Elks Lodge since I was a kid. My grandfather has been involved 56 years and my father was working on 40 years when he passed away. Both my brothers are members as well. We all work or have worked very hard as this story mentions, to help raise money for charities and build our membership back up. I enjoy taking people up there for their first time and helping them realize that it's more than just a big brick building. I challenge anyone reading this, of any age to come up and join us on any Sunday or Wednesday. Come eat, play games, listen to music, listen to stories (Elks have tons of stories). There is always something fun going on or coming up! Plus, some of the people that are members have knowledge of some of the best local history!
