When Tom Tankersley decided to pursue a career in law, he envisioned helping people solve problems in diverse situations. Tankersley enjoys complex questions and transactions. He particularly likes the long-term relationships he’s developed with his clients, staff and law partners.
Tankersley graduated from UC Santa Barbara with highest honors. After earning his law degree from UCLA, the Virginia native settled in the Pacific Northwest where his practice focus on land use law, agriculture, timber, and business are perfectly suited. During his first year as an attorney, Tankersley served as law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court.
Tankersley lives in McMinnville with his wife. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking and boating. He has served as a volunteer Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife Hunter Education instructor for over 20 years.
