Kiwanis auction: The 35^th annual Kiwanis Bids for Kids auction and barbecued steak or salmon buffet will start at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, in the McMinnville Community Center, 600 N.E. Evans St. Silent and oral auctions will raise money for child-related projects. Tickets cost $40; for tickets or more information, visit www.mcminnvillekiwanis.org.
