Fifteen local teens will compete with mustangs on Saturday, Sept. 5, at FitzGerald Farms, 8490 N. Moores Valley Road, Yamhill. The yearlings from Oregon BLM areas have been trained for 98 days and will be auctioned for adoption after the contest. Hair donation: A "Locks of Love" hair donation event is set for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 20, during the McMinnville Relay for Life at the Yamhill County Fairgrounds, 2070 N.E. Lafayette Ave. The event is in memory of a little girl named Monica who started donating her hair to the program at the age of five, but lost her life in a car accident at the age of nine. Her aunt is collecting hair in her memory. Donors need to have at least 10 inches of hair and will receive it cut free.
