Morning snow impacting school districts; missing trio located
McMinnville starting two hours late, others out for the day

Update / 11:30 a.m.:
A multiple vehicle crash has closed Highway 22 in both directions near Buell, about five miles east of the Highway 18 junction in Polk County, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
Motorists should avoid the area, find an alternative route or expect long delays.

Update / 9 a.m.:
A 15-year-old female and two adults who were reported missing Thursday night west of Carlton and northwest of McMinnville in the McGuire Reservoir area have been located, according to Yamhill Communications Agency radio traffic.
The trio did not require hospitalization.

Yamhill Valley school districts are taking precautions due to a light snowfall this morning.
. . . Dayton: Two-hour late start, no morning kindergarten.
. . . Gaston: No school today.
. . . McMinnville: Two-hour late start, no morning kindergarten and buses are on snow routes.
. . . Sheridan: No school today.
. . . Willamina: No school today.
. . . Yamhill-Carlton: No school today. Evening activities are canceled.
Amity is not impacted as the district is on a four-day school week.
The Chemeketa Community College McMinnville campus will open at 11 a.m.
Head Start of Yamhill County Sheridan/Willamina morning and afternoon classes are canceled, Michael Eichman Center (McMinnville) morning and afternoon classes are canceled, Dayton morning and afternoon classes are canceled.
A 15-year-old female and two adults who went four-wheeling in an area west of Carlton and northwest of McMinnville in the McGuire Reservoir area were reported missing about 10 p.m. Thursday, according to Sgt. Russ Vandewettering of the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office.
Names of the trio and where they are from was not available.
They were due home by 9 p.m., Vandewettering said.
Yamhill County Search & Rescue has responded in an effort to locate the three.
Several motor vehicle crashes have been reported this morning, according to the Yamhill Communications Agency dispatch center.
A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 4 p.m. today for the Central Willamette Valley, Central Oregon coast range, North Oregon Cascade foothills and the Cascade foothills in Lane County, according to the National Weather Service.
