Zombie Day activities set for Sheridan

SHERIDAN — The first Zombie Day, sponsored by the Sheridan Chamber of Commerce, will be held Saturday at locations throughouut the community.
Activites include a 5K run/walk, art contest, parade, prom and vendors.
Registration for the run/walk will begin at 8 a.m. at the Sheridan Japanese School, 430 S. Monroe St. Runners and walkers will set out at 9. The registration is $30. This is a fund-raiser for a gift to help beautify the community.
Parade registration starts at 3 p.m., judging iis at 4 and entries will set out from the Nazarene Church at 4:30.
The prom, complete with the crowning of the Zombie kind and queen, will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the high school. The cost is $5 for a couple and $3 for an individual.
Vendors will be selling their wares from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Art Hebert Plaze on Trade Street.
The Paranormal Researchers of the Evidence of Yesteryears, an Albany-based group, will be available at the library from 2 to 4 p.m.
