I don't see their failure anymore then the "me syndrome" of capitalism causing the biggest gap in wealth between the rich and poor here. The only other time we had this, things began being spent to protect the middle class and tax the wealthy to pay for things. Now, sadly.. we are not seeing it. Therefore our economy will continue to have problems.
