McMinnville Police Chief Ron Noble retiring effective June 30

McMinnville Police Chief Ron Noble will retire effective June 30.
He has led the department for eight years. He came to McMinnville from the Corvallis Police Department, where he was a lieutenant. His retirement will end a 26-year career in the law enforcement profession.
"I want to thank each of you for your trust and support in allowing me to serve as your police chief for the past eight years," Noble said in a letter to City Manager Kent Taylor, Mayor Rick Olson and the city council.
"I also want to thank the men and women of the McMinnville Police Department for their professionalism and unwavering dedication to duty," he said. "It has been an honor and a privilege to serve alongside such exceptional men and women."
Noble said he is leaving with confidence that the department will continue to be led by dedicated and motivated men and women. He is confident the department will continue on a path to serve McMinnville with professionalism, integrity and honor.
He said he will continue living in McMinnville while he pursues other opportunities.
