Linfield College Public Safety and the McMinnville police are investigating a spate of graffiti that was discovered Sunday morning on five  campus locations.

The vandalism was discovered on the HHPA building, HP B apartment building, soccer dugouts, College Street Apartments and the bike co-op, according to Public Safety spokesperson Rebecca Wale. It's believed the vandalism occurred between 1:15 and 5:30 a.m. Sunday. It was discovered by college public safety officers who were patrolling the campus.

"Property damage and vandalism is something we take very seriously," Wale said. "It (the graffiti) has been documented and evidence has been turned over to the McMinnville police. There are multiple cameras on campus. Public safety is reviewing surveillance video."

Workers were assigned to clean up the graffiti as quickly as possible. Various surfaces were vandalized, so different cleanup methods are being used, according to Wale. "It's either being painted over or cleaned, depending what is appropriate," she said.
