Mr. Mason, Are you not aware that the vast majority of the garbage dumped at Riverbend landfill comes from a great distance away?? If the expansion of this already huge regional dump is granted, Yamhill County's other tourist related businesses will be harmed by the unpleasant smells, sights, truck traffic, etc, Is that fair? A transfer station to handle the small percentage of our own garbage, like the vast majority of other cities use, is the solution....along with progressive recycling efforts.
