Letters to the Editor - June 23, 2012

Regarding the Transit system or lack thereof here in Yamhill County, I am in complete agreement with Ronda Armour. The Commissioners have produced a badly thought out plan. I looked at the drafts of the routes and I can only wonder what the heck were they thinking? I honestly believe power and control have gone to these Commissioners� heads. This is not a workable plan; Commissioners you need to go back and readdress this. As a person who uses this transit system, your plan didn�t just put me to the back of the bus, you literally kicked me off. Why would your cut back hours and why would you change the routes?

I wasted 15 years trying to reason with "cat lovers". Don't waste your life doing the same.

Licensing and laws do nothing to curb the problem. If cats are required to be licensed then cat-lovers just stop putting collars on their cats, as they did by me. They won't even bother getting them micro-chipped, especially not that. They want absolutely nothing that can hold them legally responsible and liable for the actions of their pets.

However, I found something that DOES work. Cat-lovers quickly learned where I live that, collar or not, their cats on my land get shot on-sight no matter what. Simple as that and perfectly legal.

They either learn to stop getting more cats that die from cars, from animal attacks, rat-poisons, antifreeze in a gutter or garage; OR they finally learn how to be a responsible pet owner, respectful neighbor; and learn to keep their disease spreading, wildlife destroying, invasive species animal under supervision. Win win win. You can either destroy their cat for them humanely, or let their lack of care cause it to inevitably die inhumanely. They don't care one bit how their cat might cruelly suffer to death if they let it roam free. Humanly destroy their cat for them before that can happen. No matter HOW an outdoor cat dies, that is the fault of the person that let it roam free. Make no mistake about that. And they can easily be charged with all animal-neglect, animal-abandonment, and animal-endangerment laws.

You can't train a cat to stay home but I found that, in time, you CAN train a cat-owner into being a responsible pet-owner and a respectable neighbor. Most of them are so phenomenally stupid, disrespectful, and criminally irresponsible though that you have to make at least 12-15 of their cats permanently disappear before they start to figure out what they've been doing wrong all during their sorry, useless, and pathetic lives.

You are sorely misplacing your disgust.

It is people who let a destructive invasive-species roam free that tortures-to-death all other wildlife that have zero respect for life. They don't even care about their cats dying a slow torturous death from exposure, animal attacks, diseases, starvation, dehydration, becoming road-kill, environmental poisons. etc., the way that ALL stray cats suffer to death. They don't even respect their fellow human being. This speaks more than volumes about your disgusting character. People like you should be locked up in prison for life for your cruelty to all animals, your own cats as well as all the native wildlife that you let your cats skin alive or disembowel alive. If you let cats roam free you are violating every animal-abandonment, animal-neglect, animal-endangerment, and invasive-species law in existence.

You have nobody but yourself and everyone just like you to blame. YOU are the reason people are now realizing that all excess cats must be destroyed on-site and on-sight. You've done so much to make people care about cats, haven't you.

THIS IS YOUR FAULT and THE FAULT OF EVERYONE JUST LIKE YOU. You have NOBODY but yourselves to blame.

Obviously Woodsman not all people have still not realized your way of thinking, because I am still having them dropped off at my place to have me feed, water, dr., and have fixed. There is no way I could ever intentionally hurt any animal. Yes they still have the danger of becoming road kill, but til then/if then they are happy creatures and thank goodness not anywhere near your dreadful home. I feel for the children hence it is not their faults that adults take it upon themselves to relocate or destroy thier pets on-sit and on-sight!

Oregonize,Why do you hopelessly demented and psychotic cat-advocates always claim that people who shoot cats must enjoy it somehow? It's a DISGUSTING JOB! ONE THAT MUST BE DONE. Like cleaning a filthy toilet or emptying a septic tank. And I am EVER SO HAPPY NOW THAT I HAVE GOTTEN RID OF EVERY LAST ONE. I sure as hell wasn't happy while they were here though. I DREAD THE DAY THAT SOMEONE RELEASES MORE OF YOUR POS CATS IN THE AREA.Do you HONESTLY think it's fun having to shoot and bury hundreds of POS cats? You can't even use them for pelts with all the diseases they carry today. YOUR CATS ARE A TOTAL WASTE OF EVERYONE'S TIME. Even cleaning a septic tank is more enjoyable than trying to rid your land of cats, because you know when the job is finally done and it only lasts a few hours, not a couple seasons.The death of any animal is never enjoyable. For you to project that into what I have stated only reveals your OWN deep and dark pathological values. Perhaps this is why you get so much enjoyment over every stray and TNR'ed cat dying from becoming road-kill, cat and animal attacks, slowly dying from diseases, environmental-poisons, exposure, etc. The way that ALL stray and TNR'ed cats die. Or all the native wildlife that you want your cats to cruelly rip apart, to slowly writhe and twitch to death -- NO different than if you bought canaries and hamsters then threw them at your cats to watch them get ripped to shreds for your and your cats' entertainment.Want to know the real irony here? "Oregonize" sees absolutely NO PROBLEM in killing animals to feed their POS cats. They have NO PROBLEM supporting the over-fishing of dwindling species in the ocean for cat-food. They have NO PROBLEM when their POS cats torture yet another animal to death to just use it as a play-toy for their cats.You know who REALLY enjoys killing animals and even torturing them to death for no good reason what-so-ever?Answer: OREGONIZE.

Though, to be perfectly honest, considering how cats cruelly torture all other animals by skinning them alive or disemboweling them alive for slowly dying and twitching cats' play-toys (not even using them for food), I'm not really sure why cats should be given the privilege of a humane death. I've been drawn to many animal screams in my woods to find their cats shredding another animal to death; which I had to then quickly put that animal out of its misery, torment, and suffering caused by that cat by having to stomp that poor suffering animal to death with my own boot. Lucky for those I found so fast from their screams. Other wildlife that I'd find days later had died a slow and agonizing death from wounds after being shredded by their cats. I guess I'm just more humane than all cat-lovers and their cats, that's why their cats get shot and die instantly on my land -- instead of equitably and justifiably tortured to death to put an end to all the suffering their cats cause.
If cat-advocates want REAL justice for their cats then any cat found outdoors would have to be cruelly tortured to death the same way their cats cruelly torture all other animals -- something that I couldn't do. Maybe that's why TNR-advocates don't mind that their cats slowly suffer to death by means of "attrition" -- by disease, attacks, exposure, starvation, road-kill, etc., on ad-infinauseum. They have absolutely no problems in torturing animals, not even their own cats. They're just like their cats.
After having witnessed how these so-called cat lovers don't give one sh** how their cats die, and all the ways that their cats cause the unneeded torment and suffering of so much wildlife, I doubt I will take such precautions to ensure cats' humane deaths in the future should any ever show up on my land ever again. I don't care how they die anymore, just so they are dead and gone. That's good enough now.

They're cats............I am not a cat owner, but after reading your posts, I will tell you that if I was, and I were your neighbor - - you and I would 'dance.' Never, never, underestimate what an animal lover will do.

Your postings make you sound like an illiterate, inhumane, poor excuse for a human being.
