wow, awesome article with Mary Leonard, such a haunting but at the same time inspiring story, of a woman who fought the powers that be in the 1800's. As a criminal defense attorney in the Portland area I can really identify with Ms. Leonard and her accomplishments. Great piece of Oregon history. Thank you. Raymond Tindell
