Judges select SIP! winners

A total of 195 wines submitted by 51 wineries were judged blind. The 11 judges included Hilary Berg, Bill Breitzmann, Steven DeShaw, Jack Czarnecki, Cynthia Gierok, Toni Ketrenos, Gary Kilmer, Patrick McElligott, Devey Michaels, Sean Privette and Jacques Rendu.

The best of show and gold medal award winner was Barking Frog 2011 Barbera from Elerding Vineyard.

Other gold medals winners were Hawkins Cellars 2011 Caldera Red Columbia Valley; K & M Wines 2011 Oregon Grenache from Quail Run Vineyard; Noble Estate Vineyard & Winery 2012 Muscat Semi-Sparkling; Silver Falls Vineyards 2012 Marechal Foch; Sweet Cheeks Winery 2012 Riesling; TeSoAria Vineyard & Winery 2012 Barbera.

Twenty-three wines earned silver medals, and 10 others bronze.
