Haircuts for a cause
Sep 5, 2013
Not only is Lomantini planning to visit all 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii, he's planning to do haircuts at 50 salons in the 50 different states in 50 days.
He launched his tour Aug. 1 in Augusta, Maine. He plans to wrap it up Sept. 19 in Wichita, Kan.
Locally, haircuts are being offered in exchange for a donation of an least $20 to Yamhill County Dog Control. Vendors will maintain booths in association with the cause and a trio of raffles will be held.
The tour is being sponsored by BarkAID. It was founded by Lomantini, owner of Lomantini the Salon in Wichita, to raise money and awareness for homeless animals.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. They can be made by calling Diane Welch at 503-560-4669.
