I'm a dog lover, have owned a beautiful, friendly Pitbull in the past, and I have to say I fully support Mr. Sunderlin's action to defend himself.

I'm sure he wasn't happy about having to kill that dog, no decent person is, but I am glad that he was able to decisively stop an out-of-control animal from targeting children, pets, or himself.

I also consider this a big plus for the general population to have continued easy access to CCW permits, unlike other states.

If Mr. Sunderlin hadn't been legally carrying his firearm as he was the outcome if this incident could have gone in a much more terrible way.
