Feb 28, 2014
DAYTON — The Yamhill County Interagency Narcotics team served a search warrant about 4 p.m. Wednesday at a residence across the street from the Dayton High School gymnasium. Three individuals were arrested.
Sgt. Chris Ray of the sheriff's office, who oversees the drug team, identified the suspects as Lyndsey Marie Morehouse, 26; Kimberley Lynne Williams, 27, and Marq Timothy Williams, 45. They were contacted at 105-A Eighth St.
Marq Williams was charged with one count each of delivery of a controlled substance/methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of a controlled substance/meth. Bail was set at $1 million. Kimberley Williams was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance/meth. Bail was set at $500,000. Morehouse was in violation of her probation. She was lodged without bail.
Additional charges are expected to be filed.
"The warrant service was carefully planned to minimize the possibility that students would be in the area," Ray said. "The service went smoothly and there was no impact to the school. We are very pleased with the fact we were able to shut this drug house down."
During the service of the warrant, drug detectives found about three ounces of meth, more than 1,000 in cash, packaging material, pain pills and othere evidence of drug activity.
Sheriff Jack Crabtree said drugs near schools always take a priority for the drug and community response teams.
"As I have said before, people place themselves at the top of our priority list by dealing drugs near schools and kids," he said. "Hopefully the result of this warrant is an improvement in the quality of life in this neighborhood."
