Drug arrest returns McMinnville man to jail

A McMinnville man with an arrest record dating to 1988 was taken into custody by the Oregon State Police last Thursday on drug charges.

Thomas Allen Greenslade, 43, of 605 N. Adams St., No. 10, was arraigned Friday in Yamhill County Circuit Court on one count each of delivery of a controlled substance/methamphetamine, a Class B felony, and possession of a controlled substance/meth, a Class C felony.

At the time, he was serving 60 months probation on a June conviction on one count each of fourth-degree assault and harassment. The new charges also constitute a violation of the terms of his probation in the earlier case, earning him a no-bail hold at the county jail.

This was Greenslade’s 39th arrest, according to court records.

The OSP gave this account:

A trooper stopped Greenslade for a traffic violation northeast of McMinnville near the Highway 18/Highway 99W junction. A drug dog alerted on the vehicle, a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer, and a search turned up about 22.5 grams of meth.

His license was suspended at the time from an open case that includes citations for speeding and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

A passenger in the vehicle, Kayla Lynn Stuck, 22, of 1420 S.E. Kent St., McMinnville, was taken into custody on a probation violation.

She was convicted in December 2010 of one count of second-degree escape and placed on 36 months probation. She was also lodged on a no-bail hold.
