Dayton council plans to appoint new mayor

DAYTON -- City council members plan to appoint a new mayor when they meet Monday night. The public meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Annex.
An executive sesseion on records exempt from public inspection will be held at the end of the evening.
Jolie White, who had been mayor for several years, resigned in January to pursue other projects. The council plans to appoint her replacement.
In other business Monday, the council will appoint a member of the planning commission, consider a temporary occupancy application, review goals and set a budget calendar. For more information, call the city, at 503-864-2221.
