Civil rights advocate, hate groups expert, booked at Linfield

The real hate & bigotry isn't coming from the right nearly as much as the left. To be a so called "export" seems to come from a self-imposed bias. It's extremely difficult today to hear all sides because of the hypocritical bias on the left that claims to be so open minded. When one has become God (In their own minds), everything thereafter has become subjective and subject to dispute.

Larry is right. I encourage folks to attend this event and expose SPLC as a hate group. I personally know of two reputable, kind-hearted and positive organizations who have been listed as hate groups on the SPLC website. Soon thereafter those good organizations received death threats, including someone who physically entered their offices and started shooting, injuring a guard.

Linfield has fallen off the cliff the past few years with their guest speakers. They should instead invite even-handed debate.

I add my gratitude to yours, Oregonize. Linfield enriches our community with a thoughtful balance of topics and speakers. I too encourage folks to attend the event, and I hope they will do so with open minds.

Neither Oregonize nor treefarmer addressed the question of fairness and balance. Is it forward thinking to only present one side, and that a minority? I did recently see one Linfield speaker announced recently that was more conservative. So 1 out of 20 is not much different than the news media I guess.

I don't at all fault Linfield for bringing in interesting speakers, but fairness with balance is virtually unseen.
