Firefighters responded Tuesday morning to a reported fire at Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts, 1401 N.E. Highway 99W, McMinnville.

A caller to the Yamhill Communications Agency reported seeing the business' exterior sign on fire and reported seeing flames coming from the one-story building located just north of the Goodwill Industries store. No flames were seen coming from the structure when the first firefighters arrived.

The fire department's general alarm sounded, calling out most of its equipment and a number of personnel. North and southbound traffic on Highway 99W was not disrupted by the response.
