Oregon Brews and BBQs will make its second appearance Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20, with a celebration of Northwest beers, foods and music.

The family event will run from 3 to 10 p.m. Friday and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday in the Granary District, 845 N.E. Fifth St., McMinnville. Admission is $5 for those 13 and older. In honor of Father’s Day weekend, men will be admitted free from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Attendees 21 and older will receive souvenir mugs. Beer and wine tastes cost $1 apiece.

Proceeds will go to the McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity, the nonprofit organization that helps low-income people move into their own homes. McMinnville Habitat completed its first home in 1993 and now is working on its 38th and 39th projects.
Oregon Brews and BBQs debuted in 2008 as a one-day event.

“Our first event last year was such a success we have decided to expand it to two days, “ said Marianne Mills, executive director for McMinnville Habitat. “People understand the significant impact Habitat for Humanity has on the local community and want to support its family focus.”

This year’s Oregon Brews and BBQs will feature a Kids Zone for children from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. Barbecue vendors include Billy Bob’s Blowin’ Smoke BBQ, Barker Q, Uncle Wally’s BBQ, Ribslayer To Go, Big Belly’s BBQ and Captain B’s BBQ.

Featured breweries include Heater Allen Brewing, Block 15 Brewery, Golden Valley Brewery, McMenamin’s, Alaskan Brewing Co., Bridgeport Brewing, Raccoon Lodge, Deschutes Brewery, Diamond Knot Brewery and Alehouse, Elysian Brewing Company, Mac & Jack’s Brewing Company, Rogue Brewery, MacTarnahan’s Brewing Company, Pyramid Breweries, Pike Street Brewery, Track Town Ales, Caldera Brewing Company, Full Sail Brewing and The Gambrinus Company. Anthony Dell Cellars and Panther Creek will be pouring wine.
