Grab your baskets and your rain boots and get ready to harvest the first crop of the spring - Easter eggs!
Egg hunts are planned Saturday, April 11, in most cities in the Yamhill Valley. All are free. Most start at 10 a.m. sharp, although a few have different starting times.
The Easter Bunny will be hopping madly on Saturday, as he is expected to visit hunts in McMinnville, Sheridan and several other towns. Along with the bunny, children will find brightly colored real eggs, plastic eggs, candy and, if they're really lucky, prize vouchers.
Weather forecasters are predicting a damp morning for the egg hunts, so dress accordingly. And be sure to arrive early, because egg hunts usually start on time -and, quick as a bunny, they're over.
