Instructions for posting items to the News-Register Events Calendar

The News-Register’s free Events Calendar is intended for non-profit programs in Yamhill County that are open to the public.

Free Basic Listings exclude:

• Listings for governmental and club meetings, live music, art exhibits, class reunions, holiday bazaars and ongoing events, as the News-Register has other event listings available. Details for such listings should be e-mailed to events@newsregister.com for separate evaluation and processing.

• Listings for classes and commercial events. These can be posted as featured events, below, but there is a charge.

Paid Featured Events posting is available both to items that qualify for basic listing and items that do not. The advantage to dual listing, for items already qualifying for a basic listing, is the opportunity for expanded detail and enhanced visibility.

Featured Events appear on pages throughout this website and also are published in the classified advertising section of the News-Register and its companion free-distribution Yamhill Valley Post, together reaching more than 25,000 households encompassing about 75,000 residents.

Featured Events are submitted through our online classified system. It is a user-friendly system, but it does require registration and credit-card payment.
